My comic is on the Hipster Dad’s Bookshelf! An excerpt from his review: ”I’ve always enjoyed Jacob Hunt’s My Doomed Affair, a silly and very well-drawn comic strip that used to appear in the pages of Athens’ weekly newspaper Flagpole. It has just enough of a mean-spirited edge to keep readers from really sympathizing with the comic version of Jacob. He’s immature and thoughtless and really funny.”
Here’s my first crack at the female lead from the graphic novel I’m developing with my pal, Hudson Phillips. Feedback?
Tot on the porch! I’m less than thrilled about the paint job. He’s supposed to look like a wool sweater, but that blue on that texture makes him look too Cookie Monster.
Tot is hanging out in the library. The embroidered puppy in the background that I’ve had since toddlerhood seems suggestive of my aesthetic’s origins.
This is a maquette in the making. I wish I’d taken a photo before I covered the armature wire “skeleton” with aluminum, but you can see a little poking out at the ears.
Here are the bad guys riding their penny farthing bicycle. I think this is kind of rad. I want this to be a cartoon. Don’t you?
